Interestingly, a slew of developers in Delhi-NCR have studied the market well and have started launching units in the affordable price range.
The Amrapali Group recently launched High Life 2 in Greater Noida which will comprise 522 units of 1BHK configuration. A 585 sq ft unit will cost the buyer around Rs. 25 lakh.
Gaursons also intends to launch 650 units in its existing project in Greater Noida West (Noida Extension) in the price range of Rs. 15 lakh to Rs. 20 lakh in a couple of months. These units will be of sizes 450 sq ft, 550 sq ft and 750 sq ft, informs Manoj Gaur, CMD, Gaursons.
Sun City Projects has also recently launched an affordable housing project in Sector 102, Gurgaon. On offer are 670 units comprising 2BHK units of sizes 518 sq ft to 532 sq ft spread across five acres. The price of these units start at Rs. 21 lakh.
“With the government focusing on affordable housing and providing incentives to developers in the form of no license fee and relaxation in terms of external development charges, this format will call the shots going forward. We will be launching one more project in the same format,” says Ankit Goel, director, Sun City Projects.
“Our plans are sanctioned and construction will begin after the draw. We hope to finish the project in three-and-a-half years,” Goel adds.
